I think this should be mandatory so people won't waste time checking out the car for previous damage or salvage title.. I know that carfax isn't fool proof, but it would do good for people who aren't in town to see the history behind a vehicle  dont know

I really dont think thats a good idea.. All you need is a vin to walk in a dealership and get a key cut.. just my .02

People "interested" in the car are going to get the VIN anyways, it just helps buyers not make a bad decision.

what if interested parties just pm the seller.. that way the seller knows exactly who has his/her info...

That is fine but Auto's for sale posters need to follow the rules and post the details for the car (VIN # on request).

If a post does not follow rules it will be deleted and will have to be re-posted with the correct info as per the rules.

Not being a hard ass just watching out for everyone.
